We offer a very limited number of Mountain Lion hunts per year to provide the best service and chance to harvest a  quality animal.  We have access to several large private ranches in New Mexico that can produce some very nice toms.  The best time to come is late Nov.- late March.  Our Mountain Lion hunting can be very easy or very hard mostly depending on wheather conditions.  Most of our hunting is done on dry ground travling on mules while frecasting the dogs.  We usually use two guides per hunter.  We rotate out 3 packs of dogs (6-10 per pack), and 2 mules per person.  This helps insure we have plenty of fresh dog power and livestock. Hunters must be in good shape and be willing to spend long days in the saddle.  Terrian is very steep, rocky, brushy, and sometimes slick. Tempatures can be anywhere from -0 to +70 degrees.  Over the last ten years, we have enjoyed an 80% success rate on mature lions.  Prices for 2012-2013 start at $4000.00.

Managing Lion populations is very important for modern day wildlife managment as well as reducing livestock depredation.  All hunting licenses are issued by the State of New Mexico.  When a set number of lions are harvested in a hunting area the season will end.
