This hunt takes place in late August on 55,000 acres of private land and only 2-4 hunters will be allowed.  This ranch offers awesome archery pronghorn hunting. Not only are the genetics some of the best in the world, but this ranch has a lot of natural cover in some areas which allows for spot and stalk hunting.   You will see trophy bucks, the challenge on this hunt is getting into bow range.  We use several methods which have proven to be successful, decoying and calling, spot and stalk, blind setting on fence crossings, and blinds setting near or over water holes.  We have had unbelievable success on this hunt in recent years.  In the past 5 years we have 12 archery hunters, 7 have killed P&Y bucks.  All hunters have had chances to kill P&Y quality bucks.  Hunters should be in good shape and be willing to hunt hard and be patient.  When stalking we walk several miles per day, when setting in blinds it is necessary to wait for hours and hours to have success.  Shots have been  30-50 yards.  Hunters will stay in the ranch bunkhouse, and be fed there.  The price is $2500.00 for five days, this  includes guiding lodging, and meals.
Archery Pronghorn hunters must first apply for the draw in order to obtain a license.  Hunters must apply with us by mid April, we will require a $500.00 deposit and the state will require $276.00 for the License.  The Draw results will be available around June 20th.  If not drawn 100% of the deposit will be refunded.  The state will refund all but a $6.00 application fee.  Draw odds have been running 75%-100% for the past 7 years.  If drawn the archery antelope hunt will proceed as planned.

Top: Two archery bucks taken Aug. 06 both scored over 80 in.
Nathen with "High Country Archery" and I lured this buck within 30 yards using a Renzo's decoy and the "Antelope Buster" call by Primos.  This buck came running in from 300 yards away after we were able to get him curious and upset with the decoy and a few different calls.  Nathen made one of the fastest archery kills I have ever seen after his perfect double lung, complete pass through shot.

Greg and I stalked this buck for several hours.  We were able to get into range and make the kill thanks to the thick yucca bushes.
Scott shot this nice buck on the second day of the hunt at 52 yards.
